Gold Beach is located on the southern oregon coast in a region referred to as the "Banana Belt" of Oregon. Our climate is mild with few extremes. Temperatures rarely exceed 90 degrees and rarely drop below 40 degrees. Arctic weather typiclly stops short of Gold Beach and southern pacific storms are frequently mild. However, we can have one or two exciting high wind storms in early winter (November or December). While winds can exceed 60 miles per hour, Gold Beach is built for them and so they can actually be a lot of fun. Summer weather is incredibly perfect. Temperatures on the beach will be typically 65 degrees. However, if you take a boat or drive up the Rogue River, you will find the temperature you want up to 90 degrees within 15 minutes.
